What is a Recreational Vehicle (RV)?
Motorized RVs are categorized according to their class - Class A, B or C. There are other types of RVs such as towable RVs, fifth wheels and pop-ups. Anyone watching baseball or NASCAR have seen frequent ads from Camping World regarding new and used RV sales.
RVs are typically financed with secured loans that amortize over 10 to 20 years. Rates vary based on credit and the underlying asset and borrower state. Rates range from 4% to the mid-teens. Typically, loans are originated by regional banks and credit unions.
